Tabla Classes in Singapore
North India’s premier percussion instrument — learn bols, talas, and improvisational techniques essential for Hindustani music performance.
The Rhythmic Soul of Hindustani Classical Music
Bharatanatyam is one of the oldest and most celebrated classical dance forms of India, originating from the temples of Tamil Nadu over 2,000 years ago. Rooted in the ancient treatise Natya Shastra by Bharata Muni, it is regarded as the mother of many Indian classical dance traditions.
At ANASFA, we teach Bharatanatyam as it was meant to be learned – with reverence for tradition, depth in technique, and joy in expression. Our structured curriculum takes students from foundational adavus (basic steps) through complex jathis (rhythmic compositions) to full-length solo performances, all guided by experienced gurus who bring both artistry and pedagogical rigour to every class.

What Our Students & Parents Say
What is the minimum age to start?
We recommend starting from age 4 as it is the ideal age to build flexibility, rhythm, and discipline through structured, joyful learning.
Does my child need prior experience?
Not at all. Our curriculum starts from the very basics. Every student begins at Grade 1 regardless of age, building a strong foundation in posture, adavus, and rhythm.
How long does it take to complete all 8 grades?
Most students progress through one grade per year with consistent attendance. The 8-Grade system is a meaningful long-term journey, not a quick certification.
What should my child wear to class?
Students typically wear a comfortable salwar kameez or practice saree. Anklets (salangai/ghungroo) will be introduced at the appropriate grade level.
Are classes available on weekdays and weekends?
Yes. ANASFA offers both weekday and weekend batch options across all 6 branches, making it easy to fit into school and work schedules.
